Opening Season for Area Attractions

As we finally move past the unpredictable spring snow falls in the mountains, many of our attractions open for the season. The Gandy Dancer Dinner Theatre shows begin May 20th. You can book your tickets here! The Old Brick Playhouse is also putting on Little Shop of Horrors May 12-15, tickets can be reserved here. The West Virginia Railroad Museum and the Appalachian Forest Discovery Center both open for the season in May as well! Don’t forget about the New Tygart Flyer excursion train is running, tickets can be purchased here!

Our Town Summer Concert Series Kicks Off

The first of the Our Town Summer Concert Series will kick off May 12th with Frank Family Music. Concerts will be held select Thursdays through the summer at the Elkins Rotary Amphitheatre beginning at 6pm. This summer’s concert series, “Live & Drive,” is also being presented by the Mountain State Street Machines, who will host cruise-ins on each Thursday night of the series. Check out our county calendar to see when they are happening!

Other Updates

The West Virginia Railroad Museum is now open Thursday – Sunday 9:30-4:40. The Appalachian Forest Discovery Center will open on the 12th and have the same hours.

The Welcome Center has Treasure on the Mountain Raffle Tickets for sale, stop by to purchase yours!

The Durbin Rocket train excursions begin May 14th, running Saturdays and Sundays in May! Get your tickets at mountainrail.com.
