THE MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FROM THE ELKINS DEPOT WELCOME CENTER

Fall is Here!
The streets of downtown Elkins are decorated with cornstalks, painted leaves, and of course our scarecrows are out! The storefronts also showcase the beautiful, elaborate, and festive attire from past Forest Festivals. Be sure to take a walk around town and stop into our coffee and pastry shops for some favorite fall flavors.

Our Predictions for Peak Color
We predict that the higher elevations in Randolph County will peak in color late this week. Places like Gaudineer Knob and Spruce Knob Lake are showing nice color. Rain and wind dependent, next week we hope to see great color at places like Helvetia, and Bickle Knob Observation Tower. Closer to Beverly and Elkins, colors peak later. We’re predicting mid-to-late October for our lower elevations. For more details click here!
