Our Year in Review
All things considered, 2021 was a good year. The New Tygart Flyer train excursion resumed operation, more people sought out Randolph County as an outdoor recreation destination, and visitation increased from 2020. In 2021, we welcomed over 15,800 visitors from 43 states and 5 countries! We are excited to see visitation continue to increase in the coming year, as well as to reach out to new audiences, as we showcase our wonderful county.
Welcome 2022!
The Town Square Christmas lights are down, signaling the start of a new year. This year will be exciting for us as we continue to improve our marketing efforts with the acquisition of a drone! You can look forward to some great content from that as soon as we are licensed!
Winter sports are in full swing with the first significant snowfall of the year and the extended forecast indicates more snow on the way so if you haven’t planned your winter vacation to the Heart of WV Ski Country yet, you should!
Finally, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s Ramps and Rail Festival is on! It is scheduled for April 23rd.
